 Speaker: Darleen Barton

As an active, innovative, energetic and accomplished Performance Coach with a history of achievement
and exceptional results, Darleen Barton’s profile reads like a litany of distinction
and success in many and various industries. Her talents are numerous and her skills legion.

Yet despite all of her achievements, Darleen has always remained attuned to the needs of other,
listened to their concerns with a focus on solutions- renowned for ‘being there’ when it matters most
and finding innovative ways out of the quagmire.

Darleen is a member of the International Coaching Federation, and is a Certified International Coach;
Darleen demonstrates her commitment to her clients. They always have the assurance that she not only knows
what she is talking about, but she is dedicated to delivering only the best.

Darleen studied at the University of Queensland holds certificates in:
Business Development, Human Communication, Human Resources, and Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture.
She has received Multi Award winning recipient in Management, Sales and Training for two multinational
health care organizations, Darleen won Small Business Agricultural Entrepreneur’s Award winner.

With her exceptional successes in the Healthcare industry, Darleen was approached to oversee
and manage a division in the ACT Healthcare. Upon her arrival, the division was turning over
in excess 300k. By the time Darleen had worked with the unit to develop its full potential it was
turning over 3.5m within 4 years. Darleen and her team were nationally recognised
as the company’s peak performers for 2 consecutive years.

Ready to take on the stimulation and challenges of corporate world in her own right,
Darleen was moved to begin a business of her own. In this capacity she was able to develop her own interests in design
and presentation by opening her own Interior Design business.
It wasn’t long before her already keen and honed skills brought success to her and she was able to develop
a manufacturing arm of the business as well as decorating display homes for Masterton Homes, AV Jennings and the like.

But as anyone in their own business knows, it is not always smooth sailing and sunshine.
There were many challenging times along the way and lots of new things to learn.
Darleen rose to each challenge like a champion and has been able to draw on these experiences to guide and mentor others.

Another business for which Darleen received acclaim and recognition was a Goat Milk business,
supplying milk to scores of cheese makers across the country.
For this endeavour she was honoured with the Victorian Small Business Agricultural Entrepreneur’s Award.

Throughout her many and varied experiences Darleen’s acute awareness of what works and what doesn’t
has meant that she has been able to help others in developing their own successful business strategies and procedures.
She also rubbed shoulders with different types of Business/ Performance Coaches with wildly differing styles.
What she noticed was that a more flexible, attuned and direct approach was needed
to fully service the needs of Individuals and Business owners.
This is why Darleen began her own Coaching business – Confidence in Action, C.I.A “TM” in 2009.

Darleen has been asked to speak nationally and internationally about the unique coaching models
and methods she utilises to ensure greatest  success and she is constantly in demand.

She strongly believes with highly effective individuals comes highly effective businesses,
with Confidence comes Action- C.I.A “TM” “Investigate yourself” “TM”.

Darleen will share with you ideas on how to “Get out of your own way”:

-          Living life on purpose “why do we do what we do?”

-       Gaining confidence through eliminating road blocks and feel the difference.

-        Goal setting “SMART”

-         Develop future focus and rid yourself of the Past- Present loop

-          Be the best you can be! Investigate yourself!

-       Your business will not outperform you!

-        Take the time to work ON you and your Business

“It’s never too late to become who you might have been”
Darleen Barton
